Originally made as a bag for carrying blocks of ice for ice shops, it was large enough to hold 8 blocks of ice weighing a total of 32 kg. Called the "ice bag", it can be used to carry outdoor equipment or as a children’s toy box at home. It comes with eyelets (perforated metal fittings) and the bag mouth can be closed with a sturdy cotton string.
